How to break Speed Booster blocks metroid dread? ›

Press the B button to activate Shinespark without touching the ground. Not only can you use Shinespark to destroy Speed Booster blocks, but it also deals significant damage to enemies, so don't forget about using the move during a battle!

After leaving Dairon with the new Speed Booster power-up, players should head to the first area of the game, Artaria. Head to the upper level of the area pictured in the screenshot above. It's a little bit west of one of the Network Stations.

The tank is some floors below the Shutter level. Once you revealed the small passage, you will need to use a Bomb to break the second block. Then you can pick up the Energy Tank.

In Metroid Dread, it is activated by clicking the left analog stick while running. The start-up time for the Speed Booster differs in each of the Metroid games that features this upgrade, thus making it a game-mechanic. In Super Metroid it takes about 1 second.

You can be jumping left or right doing a spin jump in mid-air and press Y+B to start a shinespark.

Reach the Central Unit. Head through the watery room to the right of the shuttle and carefully shoot away all the centipedes moving along the water before rolling through and counter attacking the floating creature at the end of the tunnel.

Hop over to the other side and use the magnet rails along the wall and ceiling to keep out of the EMMI's way until you can drop down to exit the EMMI Zone.

When you reach the sealed door on the left, look down and shoot the floor to reveal Beam Blocks to create a new passage into a doorway below. In this large darkened room, there will be a single interactive device you can step onto to try restoring power to this part of Dairon.

What to do after getting a Speed Booster in Dairon? ›

After obtaining the Speed Booster go back to Cataris and then back to Artaria via the elevators. In the upper section of Artaria you can now break through the Speed Booster Blocks in the upper central area by performing a Shinespark.

Use the Speed Booster below to charge up and store your Shinespark. Once stored, jump up onto the ledge above and then use the Shinespark while in the Morph Ball mode. This will break the Speed Booster Block and bring you right underneath the Missile+ Tank.

Colliding with some kind of damage source (enemy, spike, electricity, et cetera) will initiate a knockback (unless Samus is in an uninterruptible animation: see Kagoing). During the knockback, you can initiate a damage boost by pressing the directional pad opposite Samus's facing direction while holding jump.

Use a Cross Bomb to break all the Bomb Blocks quickly use your Grapple Beam to destroy the blue block.

Speed Booster Block

Orange blocks with a Speed Booster arrow symbol. While Speed Booster is active, run through this block or use a Shinespark to destroy it.

As in, you hold the d-pad either left or right as you jump, which makes you spin jump. When you are spin jumping, you dont activate a shinespark.
