Richard L. LindsayMasury man loved camping, was avid outdoorsman Richard L. ``Dick'' Lindsay, 897 Linden St., Masury, died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday (9-20-97) in Horizon Hospital System, Farrell. He was 66.Mr. Lindsay was born July 1, 1931, in Sharon to Andrew and Helen Calvin Lindsay.
He attended Brookfield schools and was a former supervisor and cemetery sexton for the Brookfield Township road department, retiring in 1995 with 27 years of service.
He served with the Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sharon. He was an avid camper and outdoorsman.
Surviving, besides his wife, the former Dorothy Crago, whom he married Aug. 19, 1970, are: a daughter, Deborah Garcia, Key Largo, Fla.; a son, Victor Lindsay, Key Largo; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. William Harmon, Brookfield; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Richard (Adamarie) Peto, Masury; and Charise Palermo, Hermitage; a stepson, Ronald Vrankovich, Warren, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, and a son, Richard L. Lindsay Jr.

George D. Pierce Jr.Decorated WWII veteran owned Sharon market George D. Pierce Jr., 468 Ohio St., Sharon, died at 11:10 p.m. Friday (9-19-97) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 76.Mr. Pierce was born May 23, 1921, in Warren, Ohio, to George D. Sr. and Celia Jane Davies Pierce.
He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater with Company B, 351st Infantry, 88th Division, in Naples and Rome, Italy. He received a Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster. He was the recipient of the American Theater, Eastern Theater, and Victory ribbons.
Former owner of Pierce's Market on State Line Road, Sharon, he retired in 1981 from the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp., as service supervisor of production in H building. He had 41 years of service.
He attended First Baptist Church, Sharon. He was a member and past master of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 250, Sharon.
Surviving, besides his wife, the former Dorothy Elaine ``Mickey'' Eichelberger, whom he married Feb. 11, 1940, are: a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Wilson, Sharpsville; a sister, Margaret Williams, Sharon; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Bousner, and a brother, Harold Pierce.

She was a member of American Association of Retired Persons. She was a Protestant.
Surviving are: four daughters, Jennie Koprivnak, and Mrs. Joseph A. (Kathryn) Ketler, both of Volant; Mrs. Daniel (Mary Jane) DeGregory, Grove City; and Mrs. Howard (Pauline) Edeburn, New Wilmington; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Benny Constantine, whom she married in 1920, and who died in September of 1925; her second husband, Francis J. ``Dutch'' Strausser, whom she married Aug. 4, 1951, and who died in 1987; a son, Frank Constantine; four sisters, Leona Turner, Cora Hedglin, Ada Knight, and Bonnie Dostilio; four brothers, Sherman, Lawrence, and Herman Hedglin, and an infant brother.

A 1953 graduate of Hickory High School, he was an Army veteran. He worked for Sharon Fitness Products, Sharon, and formerly for GATX, Masury, and the Kroger Co., Hermitage.
Surviving, are: three daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Valerie) Yates, Austin, Texas; Mrs. Joseph (Lori) Stasiak, Littlleton, Colo.; and Mrs. Adrian (Janet) Romero, Aurora, Colo.; a son, John Voyda, Boulder, Colo.; and four sisters, Mrs. John D. She was a Catholic. She was a member of American Carpatho-Russian Citizens and Social Club, Sharon, and was a team mother and president of Sharon National Little League Auxiliary, and a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 4, Sharon. She was an avid Bingo player.
Surviving, besides her husband, Clarence R.
