What’s in the Whitewash Professional Teeth Whitening Kit?
In the Whitewash Professional Teeth Whitening Kit, you will find the following:
- 4x Syringes with the whitening solution
- Custom dental trays
- A case
- Tips for applying the solution
The solution offered will either be 6% hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, depending on how you intend to use the kit. I was given 6% hydrogen peroxide to wear for 1.5 hours in the evening. Additionally, your dentist might also give you some sensitivity toothpaste to help with the side effects as well.
The Whitewash Teeth Whitening process:
The Whitewash Teeth Whitening Kit is only available to be purchased through dental clinics; therefore, the process can be quite long – but it is essential to get the best results and be as safe as possible.
After enquiring, you will then have to go for a check-up, which should be included in the price. During the check-up, your dentist will check the condition of your teeth and assess if you’re a suitable candidate for teeth whitening. If so, you will then get impressions done on your teeth in order to make the trays.
A few days later, your dental trays should be complete, and you will have to go back to the dentist to pick them up. At this appointment, you will get given the Whitewash Professional Teeth Whitening Kit, and your dentist will explain how to use it.
As I had the 6% hydrogen peroxide solution, I had to wear the trays for 1.5 hours in the evening. I was told that the hydrogen peroxide solution is the same as the carbamide peroxide, except the carbamide peroxide is designed to be worn overnight.
Why I chose to whiten my teeth with Whitewash Profesional Teeth Whitening:
I chose to whiten my teeth with Whitewash Laboratories because, as I work as cabin crew, I personally want my teeth to look presentable – especially as I have to smile all day.
I believe that it also makes my teeth look even better when I’m wearing red lipstick, which is always a plus.
As there are other ways to whiten teeth, from my research, Whitewash Laboratories was the best for me for a number of reasons. Firstly, it was the most affordable option (even though it was still very expensive!), especially when compared to in-chair whitening. I had also heard that in-chair whitening was very painful and whitening trays were less painful, which persuaded me the most.
The results:
Here is my complete teeth whitening timeline. Before, I was rated an A1 at the front and B1 on the sides and bottom teeth (I think?), but was told that they are a really light natural shade (yay!!). You can see my before photo below:
Day 4 is below. Apparently, results can be seen from day 3+, but to me, it looks the same. Honestly, at this point, I was feeling a little disappointed as I expected to see some results – but I had to remind myself that I still had 10 days to go.
Day 5 – I think they started to look a little lighter? I did try to take the photo in natural light.
Day 6 – I think they are definitely whiter than before. I’m excited to see the full results of 14 days.
Day 9 – Not much has happened. I’m starting to think that they look the same. I haven’t experienced much sensitivity, which has been good.
Day 12 – I have my checkup appointment in one day, I’m not entirely thrilled with the results, but we will see what my dentist says. Also, you know this is real-time, thanks to my spots 🙁
Day 15 – I went to the dentist yesterday, and he said they were no longer on the A1/B1 scale but not yet on the bleach scale. They’re in a transitioning phase. He advised me to carry on a bit longer as I had 1.5 syringes of bleach left.
Day 20 – I continued on for a few days and still didn’t see much of a difference. At this point, I found the process a bit challenging, as I still had to watch the food I was eating to make sure it wasn’t coloured. It sounds easy, but after 20 days of eating bland food, I really wanted something flavourful!
Day 30 – By this point, I had almost run out of my bleaching syringes. My schedule was getting a bit busier, so I found it harder to do the whitening process in the evening. Instead, I left the trays in my mouth overnight. In the morning, I didn’t feel any extra sensitivity, nor do I think it made any difference from leaving them in for the recommended 1.5 hours.

I originally thought that the Whitewash teeth whitening system had little effect on my teeth; however, by looking at my before and after photos, I can definitely tell that they have. I did expect my teeth to be a much whiter shade, though, especially as I used all of the syringes and stuck to a plain diet during the process.
I feel like it was too expensive for the result I achieved, but it’s important to remember that everyone is different and will have different results. My dentist was amazing during the whole process, so it’s not a reflection on the practice, as I was explained that sometimes the results wouldn’t be effective.
Personally, I found the process easy to use, and I didn’t get much sensitivity. This was unexpected as I was told that sensitivity was a very common side effect.
In the future, I think if I do another whitening treatment, I will choose a different option, such as in-chair LED, as I am curious if the results would be different.
