TAMPA, Fla. -- Robert William Beckel, formerly of Sharon and Springfield, Ohio, died at 4:48 p.m. May 25, 2000, at his Tampa home. He was 52.
Mr. Beckel was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Springfield to Ralph W. and Virginia Ann Minney Beckel.
He attended St. Josephs School, Sharon, and graduated in 1965 from Sharon High School.
The alumnus of Pennsylvania State University was employed in computer management at Raytheon Corp., Tampa, where he lived since 1975.
Surviving are: a son, Jeffrey Alan, a daughter, Melissa Ann, and his father, all of Tampa; two sisters, his twin, Sharon Ann Lesch, Merced, Calif.; and Jean Ann Stapelton, Wegener, S.C.; and a brother, David Lawrence, Marion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A private family memorial service was held Sunday (6-4-00) in Tampa. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.

Bertha Grochowski CebulaNJ native was a member of New Bedford church
Bertha Grochowski Cebula, River Road, Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, died at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday (6-6-00) in Indian Creek Nursing Home, New Castle, after an extended illness. She was 90.
Mrs. Cebula was born Oct. 6, 1908, in Bayonne, N.J., to Adam and Pauline Lewandowski Grochowski.
She was a member of St. James Church, New Bedford, and its Christian Womens Organization.
Her husband, William Cebula, whom she married Sept. 21, 1931, died Sept. 2, 1984.
Surviving are: a daughter, Joan Greenawalt, Edinburg; two sisters, Irene Dryzgo, Parlin, N.J.; and Mary Kucinski, Flemington, N.J; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and a brother, Stanley Grochowski.

Retired coal miner, WWII veteran lived in Hermitage
Earl M. Clark, Hermitage, formerly of Fairchance, Pa., died at 7 p.m. Friday (6-2-00) in the home of his daughter, Mrs. James (Erla) Springer, Hermitage, with whom he lived. He was 89.
Mr. Clark was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Uniontown, Pa., to Marshall and Hannah Sickles Clark.
An Army veteran, he served during World War II and was a former coal miner for Robena Mine, Fayette County.
His wife, the former Jessie Shivler, is deceased.
Surviving besides his daughter are: a brother, Ray, Masontown, Pa.; two sisters, Edith Snyder, in North Carolina; and Mary, Masontown; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Darryl, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral was today in Uniontown, Pa.. Private burial will be in Mount Pleasant, Pa.
Marjorie Marge P. Michal DyeGC school district retiree was active in local radio clubs
Funeral will be Wednesday for Marjorie "Marge" P. Michal Dye, 509 E. Pine St., Grove City. She died at 11:44 p.m. Saturday (6-3-00) in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, after a two-year illness. She was 74.
Mrs. Dye was born June 17, 1925, in Mercer to Clarence and Marie Passmore Michal.
She retired as a custodian at Grove City High School and was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City.
An active citizens band radio enthusiast for several years, Mrs. Dye used the handle "Marge" and belonged to Tri-County REACT Radio Club and ECHO Radio Club of Mercer County.
Her husband, Roland A. Dye, whom she married Feb. 28, 1947, died in October 1979.
Surviving are: a daughter, Phyllis J. Leax, and a son, Thomas R., both of Grove City; a brother, William Russell Michal, Mercer; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy M. Cole.

PLCB retiree was wounded during World War II
Funeral will be Thursday for Thomas William "Bill" King, 440 E. Washington Blvd., Grove City. He died at 1 a.m. Sunday (6-4-00) at home after a six-month illness. He was 76.
Mr. King was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Springfield Township to Richard Gerald and Winifred King.
He retired in 1986 after 40 years with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board; he managed stores in Mercer and Farrell.
An Army Air Force veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Mr. King served as an aircraft gunner in the 15th Air Force in Europe during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7599, Reynolds.
As a member of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City, Mr. King sang in the church choir.
His wife, the former Lois Irene Chadderton, whom he married March 13, 1950, died Nov. 21, 1992.
Surviving are: a companion, Esther Hoffman, Grove City; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sarah) Sparks and Deborah Warmac, both Helendale, Calif.; Mabel "Sue," El Sequendo, Calif.; and Mrs. James A. (Margaret "Peggy") Parnham, Mercer; a brother, Richard, Tampa, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Winifred.

PHOENIX -- Grace Mary Williams Koval, 11041 S. Iroquois Drive, Phoenix, formerly of Sharpsville, died at 6:05 a.m. May 25, 2000, at home after a brief illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Koval was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Farrell to Harry Warren and Bertha Davis Williams.
A 1939 alumna of Farrell High School, she was active in First Presbyterian Church, Sharon, and Sharpsville Womans Club, which she served as a past president and a member of various committees.
Her husband, Frank George Koval, whom she married Nov. 28, 1942, is deceased.
They lived in various areas including Sharpsville, Chicago, Peru, and for the last 16 years in Ahwatukee, a suburb of Phoenix.
Surviving are: two daughters, Janet Marie Ackmann, Barrington, Ill.; and Elizabeth Anne, Phoenix; three sons, David Frank, Louisville, Colo.; Robert Harry, Portland, Ore.; and Richard Williams Koval, Hinsdale, Ill.; a brother, Russell Williams, Hermitage; and nine grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Grace; a brother, Warren Williams; and a sister, Lois Schaben.
A memorial service was held May 30 in Mountain View Lutheran Church, Phoenix. Burial was in the church memorial garden.
